I ended up facing a few problems with this. While I like the actual layout, the photo is just at such an awkward angle and taking it out of context only made it worse. Along with that, the excessive white space is just killing me. With that, I sought google for a straight-on high resolution image. I found a higher res version of the one the museum uses on their official website, but I also have the opportunity to contact their press person for additional high res photos. Hopefully this will help me align the purple strip across the page as I planned and also help fill more dead space or allow me a sandbox in which to play, per se. Over the weekend I'll be looking into various ways to solve the problem I've seem to have found myself in.
